Week 117 and my last week at work before finishing up to go on maternity leave. The week was characterised by poor sleeping by Joseph (waking up at midnight and then again 4am) - I think this is his way of preparing us for having a newborn in the house again. All the other monkeys from Mother's Group are doing the same thing so perhaps it is a phase?!

There has been a tummy bug going through Bear Park but finally Joseph's immunity has been strengthened (after three winters!) to the point where it didn't even affect us. Yippee!

Here is Dan and Joseph - or should I say Dan and his mirror image - they are often dressed in very similar clothes!

Joseph loves reading and is currently going through a particularly addictive phase...he brings books home from Bear Park and takes them to bed with him, he walks around with a favourite title tucked under his arm (this doesn't hold him back from playing with his cars/trucks though!). Dr Seuss is on high rotate at the moment - especially "Green Eggs and Ham" (or "Green Eggs and Sam" as Joseph refers to it) and "Fox in Socks". Poor old Dan shoulders the brunt of reading those two...it's got to the stage where we've had to hide the book and only bring it out for "special treats".

Here's a picture from the weekend - our little tough guy. He seems to have got taller and skinnier of late. I've already retired some of his new winter clothes to the "small person's bag" and had to bring out some things that I'd bought for next winter!

Joseph does love rough and tumble activities too and one thing that Dan and Joseph do is "flying" - Joseph loves it and giggles in delight. Dan finds it quite a work out and has tried to ration it to a quick zip around the lounge and then a fly up the stairs to bed! However, he did get an outside trip over the weekend.

Mid-week we went for the 34 week check with Philip for number 2 - all going well with baby putting on lots of weight (estimated at 3.3kg). We were also advised of our confirmed caesearean slot - Monday 30th June. Eek - not far away at all! The baby will be delivered at 38 weeks (estimated weight 3.8kg - about 8lb 6oz). I spent Friday getting out all the baby clothes and sorting out a few things to take to the hospital! A bit of panic evident but I'm over that now!
