Week 89 was busy again and we are on the countdown for Christmas. Sophia got away to pick up Joseph early a couple of times in the week but Joseph wasn't ready to leave Bear Park and she was there for a half hour plus while he finished his working day and was ready to head for home (despite another bite this week from one of his 'friends', he seems really happy there).

The old green crocs (well $10 knock-offs from the Warehouse called 'frogs' I think) have got too small for Joseph so Sophia got out some sandals that have been in storage for a while...
However Joseph has other ideas and as we were walking into daycare he sat down in the carpark and wanted them taken off. So next plan was a bigger pair of frogs, but they're also getting sparse use as Joseph is not ready to break his attachment to the trusty green ones just yet as you can see in the photo below.
The trike has become Joseph's prime obsession. A trip around the block is pretty much mandatory every evening. His skills are coming along nicely and his feet are on the pedals most of the time, even contributing some motive power occasionally. The trike is also the catalyst for some pretty serious tantrums if it can't be scheduled in to meet Joseph's requirements...

Speaking of tantrums, the sleep patterns are on shaky ground again. A good 2 hours worth of standing up in the cot crying over the weekend and no daytime sleep at all today (Sunday). Hopefully it's just a brief aberration and not another habit forming.

But the reading is going strong. Here is Joseph getting into some denser material, our Spanish-English pocket dictionary, which he often refers to despite the lack of pictures.
Once again Joseph was rolling the sleeves up - doing some gardening this afternoon as we moved our feijoa tree to the backyard.
