Week 92 and you will notice that Joseph has had a hair cut...quite traumatic for him but Lisa (hairdresser) and I just ignored all the crying and kept on with the job. He looks very grown up! There has been lots of new words
and mimicry this week...current popular words are "feet", "more-wa" (as in I want more) and "mon" (as in c'mon...this is usually accompanied by a hand gesture urging me to hurry up and come and do whatever it is Joseph requires). "Mon" is sometimes joined with "hand" which means give me your hand and I'll drag you to where you need to be.

We went to a Christmas lunch at Denise and Rob's last Sunday afternoon and Joseph got given this very festive hat. I've been making him wear it through the week in preparation for Christmas Day!

Joseph very much likes trains and has taken to building train tracks (or rather directing me to place the blocks where he wants them). Here he is admiring his work last Monday night.

He can climb up on all sorts of things now and here he is having his breakfast last Wednesday morning on the big couch - I think he looks very much like Dan (or rather, more than ever like Dan!).

And, finally, because it is Christmas Eve, please indulge my smug motherness and enjoy this picture of Joseph (complete with carpet burn scab on nose (from jumping off a chair at daycare) and bruise on the forehead from hitting the window sill yesterday).

We're going to be away in Christchurch from Boxing Day to Sat 5th Jan so no new posts until then! Merry Christmas!
