Week 95 saw Dan return to work on Monday and Joseph and I spend two more days at home before, we too, returned to work and Bear Park.

Where Joseph wore long pj's in Christchurch, we have been able to break out the short pj's in Auckland due to the hot weather. Here he is on Monday night, lounging with his bottle (watching The Simpson's!) before heading off to bed.

And he had spent all week in his big boy bed (except for tonight, Sunday, where he chose the cot - don't know what is going on there!). It takes him quite awhile to go off to sleep in the big bed...lots of things to look at and explore plus he was falling out a couple of times a night in the first couple of nights! Here he is on Monday night, after he finally fell asleep at 9pm!

Joseph went to BP on Thu and Fri mornings fully inked...he got hold of Dan's pen in the morning and drew all over his arms. We didn't have time to wash it off before daycare so he went along as is. I think he must have overheard Godfather Matty say he was going to take Joseph for a tattoo at 18!

I think we wrote that Dan has been building a deck over the past few weeks....here we are on Saturday night having our first meal on the nearly completed structure. It looks really great and Dan (and our friend Craig) have done a terrific job. I am also pleased as it means that Joseph can now run free outside without us worrying about nails, hammers, electric saws etc rather than being cooped upside with his boring mother (when he'd rather be outside with his Daddy and "the man" (Craig)...doing lots of "bang bang" ie hammering/building).

Finally, we're seeding the idea of toilet training and to help us along Joseph got lots of undies for Christmas but he won't let me put them on him...until today when I managed to trick him into it (however he will sit on the toilet - don't understand that either!). Here he is earlier in the morning wearing his (slightly too tight) blue Bond's undies.
