Week 96 saw Joseph and I start our first full week at work and Bear Park. It has been a very hot week and there has been lots of water play at BP. We even did a bit of water play at home on Wednesday night when Dan got Joseph to help water the garden. It then got a bit more boisterous!

Here's Joseph wearing a hand-me-down cousing Harry shirt.

To cool my boys down over the weekend and sneakily get some fruit into Joseph) I made some frozen yoghurt, banana and strawberry icies. They've been going down a treat this weekend. (nb J is wearing undies!)

On Saturday we went over to Glen and Anja's (next door neighbours) and Joseph and Dan had a swim in their pool. Joseph really loved it...so much so that he kept wanting to get back in even when he was shivering with cold!

Finally, Dan and Joseph had their first trip to the zoo for 2008 today. They spent time with the tigers, the giant Galapagos turtles and the kangaroos (where Joseph was learning about hopping).

I have been meaning to write a bit about Joseph's speech - it is coming along so well. Every day there a new words, sometimes quite odd words. For example, he can't say dog or snail yet says butterfly, caterpillar, lawnmower and umbrella! Two favourite phrases are "fix it" and "round and round" (as in the wheels go round and round, the fan goes round and round, the watch hands go round and round). He also says "hiya" and sings "happy birthday" (quite a lot, generally using Hollie's name as the birthday name).
