Ironman...he did a great time of 9hrs 54s but missed out on going to Hawaii by 54s...he's going to try and qualify in a few weeks by doing the Port Macquarie Ironman.
Joseph loved having two big boys to play with - rather than boring old Mummy. Matt picked Joseph up from Bear Park on Tuesday and Friday nights - it sounds like Joseph really enjoyed having this special visitor and did lots of showing off!
Here is Joseph on Tuesday night reading Matt's triathlon magazines, anyone on a bike was referred to as "Daddy".
We took some good pictures of Joseph and Matt - here is one of the favourites...Matt bought Joseph and him the same piece of greenstone for J’s christening and we finally convinced Joseph to wear his for this photo!
On Saturday night we went over to Rob and Denise's for dinner...Dan is helping them get their new laptop up and running (it looks like we're going to get SKYPE too). Denise gave Joseph two massive bowls of neopolitan ice cream with chocolate sprinkles - which he devoured!
Denise and I gave Joseph his bath at their house too...Denise made great quantities of bubbles which Joseph had a great time eating. We finally left about 8.45pm and all were in bed at our house by 9.20pm - Joseph still woke up at 5am however!
Part of Joseph's growing up pattern is not sleeping at home on the weekend...he fell asleep in the car on the way to take Matt to the airport on Saturday and had a two hour sleep in his car seat. On Sunday, he had a full day with Dan at the zoo and even though we coincided the trip with lunch and then sleep...he still didn't want to go to sleep...we put him in his got at 2pm for a "rest" (as in "big boys have rests") but he was still awake at 3pm! I decided to take him to the shops in Newmarket and by the time we'd got 5 minutes down the road he was asleep. We transferred him to the couch and he slept for 1.5 hours. We had to wake him at 5.15pm - a very grumpy boy!
